Creader  Update Procedure

 

  1. Go to the web site www.creader.com
  2. If first time user you will be required to register the unit first.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

                 

  1. For registed ueser just login using your user and password and goto the download CENTRE.

                                         

 

 

 

  1. Click on the download centre to view the software version.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Click on the highlight area to save the software to your computer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Save the software to a folder on your desktop.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. by clicking onto this box

 

 

                    

  1.  it will unzip and give you a new folder.

                                            

 

 

  1. Now open the folder to view the update program.

              

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Now connect the Creader to your PC via the USB cable.

 

 

  1. By clicking on the start botton on the software the program will start to clear and re-program the creader. The software will tell you when it has finisted.

Note: Do not disconnect or stop the program as it may cause problems with the Creader operation.

 

  1. If there is a problem when you first click on the start button and it gives you a com port problem. This is due to the port asigned to the USB that the Creader is connected too. Just follow the next step to asign a new port number.

 

 

  1.  Click on the START button on your PC       
  2. Goto                                        and by using the right hand mouse button click onto it.

 

 

     15.  This will    display a window then click on properties

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

      16. This window will appear and sectect HARDWARE

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 17.  Click on device manager

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

18. Go down to the area PORT (COM & LPT) select and click on it CP210x  USB port should appear.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

       

          19. This will display information regarding this port. Now select Port Setting.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

            20.  Now click on Advanced

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

              21.  Click on COM Port Number and select com 3 is the best.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

                22.    Now click on OK and exit the Device Manager aera.

 

               23.     Now return to Update software and click on START.
